Ethnic Ties and Border Spills

Africa is a continent of nations largely drawn up by colonialist and foreign rulers with little or no respect to existing ethnic make-ups. It is to no surprise then that clashes continue to arise in places like Chad, Kenya and the Congo. How can Africans move forward towards sustainability in spite/despite this problem? Can it be done?
